How to use
- Choose a WebP image from your device or drag it into the upload area.
- Select JPG or PNG. For JPG, pick a background colour and a quality.
- Select Convert and check the preview and file sizes.
- Download the converted image.
Supported files and limits
- Input: one WebP image up to 25 MB and 50 megapixels.
- Output: a JPG or PNG image with the same width and height.
- Metadata such as camera details and location is not kept in the converted file.
Transparency and animation
- PNG keeps transparent areas. JPG does not, so transparent areas are filled with white or black.
- Animated WebP files are converted to a still image using the first frame only. The tool shows a warning when it detects an animated file.
File size
- PNG files made from WebP photos are usually much larger than the WebP.
- JPG files are usually smaller than PNG, but can be larger than the original WebP.
- The result shows the real size before and after.
Privacy
- Your image is processed in your browser. It is not uploaded to a server.
- No account is required.
Troubleshooting
- If the image does not open, make sure it is a valid WebP file.
- If the background looks wrong, convert again with the other background colour.
- For very large images, your browser may run out of memory. Resize the image first and try again.
